Yup. That’s basically it.
I was looking for something permanent in jewelry. I want to wear it while excercising, showering etc. And each item had its own timing of coming. And yes, for me watch is jewelry not accessories.
1. Ring on chain
The ring has a rich history. When my grandfather died, grandma took his wedding ring to goldsmith and it was remade for two smaller rings. Then passed to daughters and then to their daughters. So it’s really small and sweet family heirloom. I put it on a chain because the size does not fit and I was afraid i could loose it.
So I chose these watch as a gift for Christmas. Soon after that I realized somehow everyone has the same or similar watch. But nevermind, I love them, they have adjustable strap that comes handy if you have small wrists.
3. Real ring
This one I am wearing really as a ring. It is another family hairloom I inherited from grandma. It used to be her engagement ring.
There is no family involved in this story. Except I got them from my parents. Another Christmas.
So what have I learn from all this. I thought that wearing the same jewelry will be boring, but I enjoyed that. They are quality pieces made out of gold. I can wear them all the time (not the watch but that’s okay I don’t like to write on keyboard with them on). Each of them has a little piece of either history or my personality. And there is no need to worry about anything else.
I am currently working on minimizing and simplifying my wardrobe and this was a great first step. I was always lazy deciding and I wanted to have something significantly mine. And there I have it.
Have a nice day 🙂
